Taking Time

It takes time to make things by hand, whether things to eat, to wear, or to look at.  It also takes time to eat, to dress, to see, and certainly to listen.
Our time - the condition in which we live - seems to be in a hurry.   If we are going to enjoy the time which we are given we would do well to consider the emptiness of a day in which we have not taken the time to nourish ourselves properly by taking the time to savor what we eat, to choose what we wear (and perhaps to compliment people who look particularly good in their dress), to admire the colors of the leaves, to listen carefully to what people are saying, and to sit still, close our eyes, perhaps, and totally listen to music.
