Poor Mozart

Poor Mozart is what you call the utterly predictable I've-already-heard-that-a-million-times kind of playing associated with piano lessons and other dutiful uninspired so-called performances.
Dutiful is strict adherence to beats and bar lines.  You will never convince me that Mozart himself would have played that way.
What makes me so sure?  His setting of language.  Like Bach and like Handel before him, his sensitivity to the minutiae of language inflection would have made it impossible for him to succeed as a piano teacher in today's culture.
