It is a recurrent theme in these posts: we are getting farther and farther removed from our own vulnerability to sound.  We expect all music to sound more or less the same as other things we define as music.  Would we have the courage to notice when something actually moves us to tears?
The other day I was speaking with a woman who is not particularly  "into" music.  She was describing how moved she was at a Bach organ recital,  much to her surprise.  She had not realized in advance that this might be possible.
Bravo for her!
