What Perfection?

Perfection is highly over-rated.  Flawless is for machines.  A designer friend once told me that you know a garment is hand made when it contains an error.  Why should it be perfect?
Perfect meant a great deal to me as a child, when I found it difficult to do anything physical in a manner approaching perfection: even standing up straight, which I was constantly admonished to do. (I have a curved spine, so that one was particularly elusive.)
I marvel sometimes at how much of a journey it has been to value error, not merely to tolerate it.
