It truly is easy to play the piano: Get one, fool around with it.  You will have a fine time, especially if nobody but you is listening.  That is strictly a matter of hands and ears -- your hands, your ears.
It's when we want to play printed music that all the trouble starts.  Then it becomes a matter coordinating eye with hand, eye with ear, fingers with ear, fingers with eye, fascinating and not at all simple.
